Fertig

You know, as an IFYE you go through a lot of mental ups and downs. It’s like a rollercoaster that never seems to end…until it does and your left wondering where 3 months went.

Fertig in German means finished. It’s one of the many words I picked up during my time in Switzerland. My time in this country will soon be fertig and it’s unreal. 3 amazing months with amazing people, places, food, and culture to cherish for a lifetime. Yet, I feel like I’m only just starting to learn the language, the customs, and what life is truly like here. I’m not ready to leave, but I know another amazing adventure waits for me in England.

The past month has been filled with more great stories and memories. On August 20th I changed host families for the last time. Another hard goodbye In Walterswil. My last host family was located in Glarus. This is alot closer to the mountains than any of my other families. During my time here I was able to get hands on experience in a chocolate and cheese production. I was also able to do alot of amazing touring. This blog has been somewhat on the backburner because I just don't have time to do it all. I have alot of great posts on Facebook with pictures from these experiences, so I'm going to keep that updated more than here.

I cannot wait for my adventures over the next 10 free days. Some highlights include Paris and Germany for Octoberfest. After that, next stop England.
